Vienna Ortstaxe

misterb&b signed an agreement with the City of Vienna to collect and remit, on your behalf, the Ortstaxe.

  • Ortstaxe. 2,7691% of the listing price (including cleaning fees). For more information, visit this page on the official Vienna website.

Your obligations as a Host

Even though misterb&b manages the Ortstaxe on your behalf, you still have to fulfill certain obligations:

  • You must keep and maintain records of all paid stays and the money you have taken.
  • You must keep receipts and invoices.
  • You must have information showing that the local tax is collected by the platform and transmitted to the city administration.
  • You remain responsible for any other taxes applicable to your hosting activity, and for Ortstaxe applicable to any rental contracted outside of our platform.

However, thanks to the tax agreement misterb&b secured with the City of Vienna, our Hosts are relieved from the following obligations (usually applicable to accommodation providers under the Vienna Tourism Promotion Act):

  • Notification of operating an accommodation and each accommodation unit within two weeks when the tax obligation arises to the Vienna City Administration.
  • Collection of the local tax from the guests.
  • Remittance of the levied local tax to the Vienna City Administration.
  • Filing of the annual tax declaration until the 15th February for tax liability incurred the previous year with the Vienna City Administration.
      •
