Can I list my place as clothing optional?

At misterb&b, we pride ourselves on being open to all communities. This is why our platform provides an option for the nudist community. We also understand that every host has unique preferences when it comes to hosting travelers. And when it comes to guests who like to roam nude at home, some hosts might be comfortable with that, while others might not. Therefore, we ask our hosts, "Would you like to list your place as clothing-optional?" in the listing process. Please note that the clothing-optional option is only available for private and shared rooms. For entire places, the traveler can decide whether they want to wear clothes or not, as the place is entirely for them. Here are the two options:

Option 1: You like to roam free at home, so why not offer this option to your guests?

Pros:

  1. Attract a specific type of guest: By listing your place as clothing-optional, you are more likely to attract guests comfortable with nudity. You may gain a following of repeat guests who appreciate this option.
  2. Create a unique experience: Offering a clothing-optional option can make your place stand out from the competition and even lead to word-of-mouth referrals.
  3. Personal Freedom: As a host, you can enjoy the freedom of being clothing-optional in your own space without worrying about making your guests uncomfortable.

Cons:

  1. Limited pool of guests: Listing your place as clothing-optional may limit the number of potential guests interested in staying with you.
  2. Risk of negative reviews: Some guests might not be comfortable with the clothing-optional option and could leave negative reviews, which could hurt your reputation as a host.
  3. Legal issues: While clothing-optional is legal in some areas, it is not legal everywhere, and it is important to check the laws in your area before offering this option.

Option 2: You prefer to keep my clothes on, and so should your guests

Pros:

  1. Appeal to a broader audience: By not offering a clothing-optional option, you appeal to a broader audience of guests who might not be comfortable with nudity.
  2. Avoid negative reviews: By not offering a clothing-optional option, you reduce the risk of negative reviews from guests who might be uncomfortable with the nudity.

Cons:

  • Limiting guest comfort: For guests who prefer clothing-optional, not listing as such may make them feel uncomfortable or unwelcome in the space.
  • Inconsistent with host lifestyle: For hosts who prefer clothing-optional, not listing as such may require them to alter their lifestyle while guests are present to maintain consistency with the listing.

If you're a nudist host, make sure to provide this information in the listing description. As a token of transparency, the guests must be aware of all activities on the property before they send their request.
