What is the Fabul'Host program? How can I join?

You're a great misterb&b host, and you want travelers to know about it? The Fabul'Host program is made for you.

As a Fabul'Host, you will enjoy more visibility on our website and apps, and users will more likely book with you!  Guests will know instantly that you are an experienced host and that they'll have a great time during their stay with you.

How do I become a Fabul'Host and enjoy the benefits it brings?

A Fabul'Host is an experienced host familiar with our services and who knows how to handle their bookings like a pro. Therefore, we will require that you have at least two completed reservations during a specific period, which we refer to as the 'qualifying period ', to be able to join the Fabul'Host program. If you meet all criteria, you will automatically become a Fabul'Host.

What benefits does becoming a Fabul'Host bring?

Becoming a Fabul'host gives you access to exclusive perks:

  • Fabul'host badge
As a Fabul'Host, you receive a higher ranking, and your profile is adorned with a prestigious Fabul'Host crown badge. This badge not only makes your profile stand out in search results but also immediately identifies you as a top-notch host to our guests, enhancing your credibility and trustworthiness.
  • More bookings for you
Your listing joins the VIP club, a select group of our best hosts, under the Fabul'host filter, a special search filter that allows guests to find and book the best hosts on our platform.
  • Customer Support
Our team answers your requests in priority.
  • Exclusive access to new features
We'll invite you to test new features early.

What should I do to become a Fabul'host?

Being a good host means being responsive. You should maintain a minimum 85% response rate, which is the percentage of inquiries you respond to within 24 hours during the qualifying period, so travelers know they can count on a quick response when contacting you. The response rate is calculated if you click 'accept,' 'pre-approve' or 'decline' when you receive a contact for availability. Replying to a message does not count for calculating the response rate.

In addition, we need you to accept as many booking requests as you can. Therefore, we need your acceptance rate of at least 85% during the qualifying period. The acceptance rate is the average percentage of requests you accepted within 24 hours over the past 12 months, combined with your acceptance rate before these last 12 months (if applicable).

Ensuring your calendar is up to date is vital to being a Fabul'host. Therefore, we expect that you had either 30 days with 'Instant Booking' activated, a feature that allows guests to book your place without needing to wait for your approval during the qualifying period, or that you confirmed your calendar's availability for at least 30 days.

Of course, your guests need to enjoy their stays at your place: we expect you to maintain a 4.5 overall rating (a review counts for the Fabulost status when either both the guest and the host have submitted a review or the 14-day window for reviews is over, whichever comes first). Therefore, you are responsible for asking your guests to leave a review. You must also do your best to make their stay memorable, but if you're reading this, you sure do already!

Finally, we understand that sometimes, despite your best efforts, circumstances may arise that force you to cancel a reservation. As a host with a confirmed booking, you have a duty to your guests, and we take cancellations by the hosts very seriously, especially if they happen at the last minute. However, we do allow for Extenuating Circumstances and expect you to have 0 cancellations during the qualifying period, except for these rare instances.

When are the criteria updated?

misterb&b has defined qualifying periods. Every three months, we start counting again, meaning you have four chances a year to meet all Fabul'Host criteria - nice!

  • Qualifying period 1: starts January 1
  • Qualifying period 2: starts April 1
  • Qualifying period 3: starts July 1
  • Qualifying period 4: starts October 1

You can follow your host's performance on this page at any moment and see if you meet the criteria to become a Fabul'Host

If you do not meet the criteria this time, don't panic! You can apply for the next qualifying period; make sure everything about your listing is 'fabulous', such as high-quality photos, detailed descriptions, competitive pricing, and positive guest reviews.

Be sure to be well prepared for the start of a new qualifying period, and take advantage of this opportunity - a Fabul'Host status is waiting for you.
