Our payment system is set up to give every user added assurance that the payment is secure. Once the payment is processed on the site, the funds are kept by misterb&b, and are only released to the host 48 hours after the arrival of the guest. For now, our platform only accepts payments processed with credit cards and some debit cards, which can also be used as credit cards (this does not apply to all countries).
Payments conducted outside of the misterb&b site expose you to fraudulent activities and scams such as phishing. Our comprehensive insurance policy will not cover you when payments are not processed on the safe and secure misterb&b platform. Additionally, bookings will not be eligible for cancellation and refund policies, and other security benefits that are provided by misterb&b.
All legitimate transactions are processed directly on the misterb&b site. If you are asked to contact a host outside the site and to process a payment, please contact the misterb&b Trust & Safety team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
misterb&b will never ask you for payment details via email. If you receive an email from anyone with a @misterbandb.com email extension, and they are asking for payment details, please contact us straight away.
You will never be redirected to another site, or be told that the payment system is not working properly, nor will you be sent any PDF invoice prompting payment. Keywords to help identify a possible scam or fraudulent activity include Bank Transfer, Western Union, Paypal, MoneyGram, money order, cashier’s check. Remember, all payments are processed directly on the misterb&b site via a credit card. If you are sent to another site via a link sent on the messaging server or sent a PDF version of an invoice, contact us immediately at email@example.com.
