Why am I asked to provide ID after the booking is accepted?

After a booking has been accepted, our system might send you an ID verification request to be completed in a given time frame. This is one of the security procedures misterb&b has implemented in order to ensure safety for all users and to avoid any online fraudulent activities.

In the case that the ID verification process is not completed in time, your booking might be canceled automatically for safety reasons.

It is important to mention that when a host accepts a booking request or the guest pays for a pre-approval successfully, the booking is accepted but not necessarily confirmed.

Please refer to our Terms & Conditions regarding ID verification general guidelines.

"Members are required by these Terms to provide accurate information, and although misterb&b may undertake additional checks and processes through a third-party processor designed to help verify or check the identities or backgrounds of users, we do not make any representations about, confirm, or endorse any Member or the Member’s purported identity or background. For example, we may, but are not required to, contact Hosts and Guests via telephone and/or email and we may ask the Host for proof of address (utility bill or phone) and/or a copy of their identity card or passport."
