Asking for a Security Deposit is highly recommended. This amount of money is set to cover small damages in case something gets stolen or broken during a guest's stay.
Starting December 10, 2018 the Security Deposit is handled 100% online by misterb&b. Hosts set the amount. Then in case of damages, they can open a claim, send proof of damages and request all or part of the Security Deposit.
In case they don't find an agreement with their guests one the amount, they can escalate the case to misterb&b. Should they choose to do so, they agree that the compensation amount deemed appropriate by misterb&b will be binding, final and non-negotiable.
